Pre-Requisites for remote connection

  1. For security reasons, we require two-factor authentication for you to connect remotely to your corporate PC.  This means that you have to register your cell phone# with IT.   IT will send you a text message that will provide a link to download the DUO application and setup your phone for authentication.

  2. Once your cell phone is setup for two-factor authentication, then you can connect via MyPC .  However, the first time you connect from your home PC or laptop, you will be prompted to download a software "client" on your PC/laptop.  Please download and hit "Yes" or "Continue" to allow the software installation.  (This is only required the first time you access connect remotely.)

  3. For ​MyPC, after downloading and installing the appropriate SECURE MOBILE ACCESS CONNECT AGENT, you can press the Installed option, the next time the Download or Installed pop-up box appears.​​

  ** If your home computer has dual monitors, you can extend your desktop to two screens when you're connected remotely (just like, in the office).

  ** If you are connected via remote connection, it's not recommended that you use your computer audio & webcam for video conferencing.

   

Troubleshooting

  1. ​Most people use WIFI at home to connect to the Internet and for their remote desktop connection.  It is important to keep your home computer and WIFI router up to date, to ensure a stable connection when connecting from home.

  2. If you are having issues with your password (i.e. you don't get to the point where you get a login notification on DUO, then try updating your password and unlocking account by going to https://self.lawsonconnect.com.
